Lisa is a Trainee Solicitor at Avery Law. Prior to joining the firm, she graduated from the LLB at Northumbria University in 2022 (First Class Hons) before completing the Legal Practice Course with a Distinction and obtaining a Master of Laws at the University of Law in 2023.

While at University, Lisa gained legal work experience by volunteering at the Newcastle Civil and Family Courts and actively participated in both University’s legal clinics. During her second year at university, Lisa also worked full-time for an international corporation as a Customer Advisor in the Benelux market. She is fluent in Dutch, speaks Russian and has a proficient understanding of Spanish.

Lisa supports the team with advising clients on a wide range of corporate matters, including company incorporations, corporate restructurings and helps clients navigate complex legal frameworks by assisting with day-to-day company governance. She also supports with matters in employment law and dispute resolution.

She plays an active role in supporting on debt and equity fundraising transactions and capital raising efforts in the venture capital space, where she has supported clients from early-stage funding through to growth capital rounds, and actively engages in due diligence and deal structuring.

In the field of M&A, Lisa has worked on several high-profile transactions, where she has been involved in all stages of the M&A process, from initial due diligence through to post-transaction integration, liaising with clients and other legal professionals to ensure smooth deal execution.

Lisa joined Avery Law in 2023 as a Paralegal.
